how it started
Music has been a passion of mine since before I can remember. When I was a young kid, my introduction to music was early 2000’s punk rock. I had 5 older brothers, and every day I would steal any CD I could find. At that time, pop punk was all that was available for me. These days, I am all over the place. Some of my favorite records that you can find in the shop are the following; “hey little cobra and other hot rod hits” by the rip chords, “runaway” by Kanye west, “the jeff lorber fusion” (a great jazz LP), and “Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young-Deja-vu”. I began collecting releases from my favorite bands during the pandemic, and I fell in love with owning physical copies of music, and now it consumes half of my life. Every day I get to hear new music, and I even run into LP’s that are impossible to research, some unknown artists and dates. That’s what inspires me to do this, being able to hold and touch a piece of history that I would have never known about.
The goal here is to build a community of enthusiasts, a club if you will. As this thing begins to grow, we will coordinate events for members to get together, have a good time, and introduce each other to new music. Another goal down the line is to support local bands.
